Kendriya Vidyalaya, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi was established in the year 2003 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

The Vidyalaya is located in the AIR FORCE Area at Majumdar lines in the rear of Military Hospital and at a distance of 3 km from Ambala Cantt Railway station and General Bus stand. The Vidyalaya has been started in the month of NOV 1964 with a single section which has been expanded to 5 section school in the month of April 2003 with facility of Science, Commerce and Humanities streams i class XI and XII.
