Kendriya Vidyalaya, No 1, Air Force Station, Jalahalli West was started in the year 1964. The Vidyalaya has Classes from I to XII with an enrolment of 2632 with Science and Commerce Streams at the Plus-Two level.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Awantipur came into existence in the year 1987 to provide an opportunity through quality education inside Air Force Station Awantipur. A co-educational school with unity in diversity is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan being the pace setting organization in school education in India established its first Zonal Institute of Education and Training at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Department of School Education and Literacy is implementing an Umbrella Scheme for Providing Quality Education to Madrasas/Minorities (SPEMM) which comprises of two schemes namely Scheme for Providing Quality Education in Madrasas (SPQEM) and Infrastructure Development of Minority Institutes (IDMI). The scheme is being implemented at the national level.
