Kendriya Vidyalaya Ordnance Factory, Katni was established in the year 1981 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Bhel Jagdishpur a Project sector (BHEL) school was established in August, 1984. Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Vijayawada was established in the year 1987 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, No 1, Binnaguri was started in the year 1973 in Binnaguri Cantonment. Since then it has crossed many milestones and touched the pinnacles of success. The Vidyalaya has Classes from I to XII with Science and Humanity Streams. The Vidyalaya has maintained high academic standards in AISSE & AISSCE Examination.

A unit of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, K. V. Utarlai was introduced in the vicinity of desert city BARMER in 1982 to serve the needs of society, specially defence, since its inception. Due to its unique contribution in the field of education the vidyalaya was given the status of 'Model School' by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan in the year 1999.
