Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rajouri came into existence in salubrious environs in the month of August 1980 to provide an opportunity through quality education. A co-educational school with unity in diversity is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Kendriya Vidyalaya at the Air Force Station, Salua is one of the Vidyalayas of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan set up by the MInistry of Education. It is a defence sector institution which was established in 1986, primarily to cater the educational needs of the children of the defence personnel's as well as the floating population of the area.

The Vidyalaya has been started in the month of NOV 1964 with a single section which has been expanded to 5 section school in the month of April 2003 with facility of Science, Commerce and Humanities streams i class XI and XII.
