The real estate sector was unregulated from the prospective of consumer protection in the country since long. The potential growth of the sector was negatively affected in absence of professionalism and standardization. Although the real estate sector was functional since the pre- independence time in most of the parts of the country but it was highly disorganized and unconventional.
