Kendriya Vidyalaya Air Force Station, Samana was established in the year 1992 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Naval Station, Karanja is one of the premier institutions located in the suburbs (NAD, Uran Taluka) of the metropolitan city Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. Initially it was an English medium school, run by Naval Armament Depot (NAD) under the Chairmanship of Shri N A Malwade.
